No, absolutely not! Our solution is made of the highest quality, natural ingredients. I have also been trained and double certified!
Exfoliate 2-3 days consecutively (if time allows) before your tan appointment. If exfoliating day of your appointment use an oil free product. Important areas to exfoliate are the neck, chest, crease of arms, behinf knees and feet.
Wax a minimum of 24 hours before your spay tan appointment and a minimum of 8 hours before your tan appointment. Also wait a minimum od 8 hours after to shave and use a sharp/new razor and lubricating product.
Remove or avoid wearing make-up and moisturizer as this acts as a barrier to the spray and stops the process from working properly.
wear dark, loose fitting clothes and undergarments post your tanning appointment. (Spray solution may wash out of most fabrics but may stain nylons, lycra and silks.)
We recommend waiting 8 to 12 hours before your initial shower.
Make sure to rinse only during your first shower. Your second shower, whether it be the same day or next day, you are clear to use soap.
Try to pat yourself dry as mush as possible with your towel. Scrubbing the skin dry and excessive friction can cause the exfoliation of the skin causing the tan to fade prematurly.
Apply moisturizer DAILY. Twice daily is ideal. Avoid moisturizers with AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) This ingredient promotes exfoliation. MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE.
Avoid long, hot showers, baths, hot tubs and chlorine. Short term is fine but excessive soaking will cause exfoliation and will fade your tan prematurely.
The entire process takes about 30 minutes, from start to finish.
The typical spray tan will last 6-10 days with proper care and upkeep. It is important to follow the guide and tips given in above questions for proper maintenance.
Everyones skin is different so naturally everyones skin exfoliates different as well.
MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE
Here is what you do before your spray tan:
Exfoliate TWO to THREE nights consecutively up until the day of your spray tan ( if time allows ). This promtes even coverage and lengthens the duration of your tan. If exfoliating the day of use an OIL FREE product...baking soda works great! Important areas to exfoliate: NECK, CHEST, CREASE OF ARMS, BEHIND KNEES AND FEET.
Wax a MINIMUM of 24 hours prior to your spray tanning appointment.
Shave 8 hours before appointment or 8 hours post tanning shower. Use a SHARP, CLEAN razor with a lubricating product,
Here is what you do the day of your spray tan session:
Make sure your skin is free of ANY oils, moisturizers or makeup. These products can act as a barrier to the spray tan solution causing an uneven and streaky result.
Wear loose fitting clothes to your appointment. Including loose fitting footwear. Flip flops or sandals are best suited.
Here is what you do after your spray tan:
Wait at least 8-10 hours before showering when sprayed with regula solution.
When sprayed with Rapid soltion wait at least 6 hours.
Apply moisturizer morining and evening after your post-tan shower. Avoid moisturizers with AHA (alpha hydrocy acid) This ingredient promotes exfoliation.
Avoid long, hot showers and baths, and scrubbing the skin. Choose a washcloth that is as soft as possible and pat your skin dry. Excessive friction on the skin may fade your tan prematurely.
Shave with a new sharp razor with a lubricating prouct to avoid exfoliation in those areas.
Chlorine in swimming pools and hot tubs can remove or shorten the longevity of your tan.
